Welcome to the 2026 Bible Study titled 'Personal Confidence'.
We at AOF believe this would be a valuable addition to all our subscribers and visitors alike on their journey to financial freedom and control. What better way to build your relationship witb your finances than to delve a bit into ourselves and build our perceptions of ourselves.
This particular study includes a book which talks about our personal appearances and how one should not feel that paying attention to what most would call the 'vain things' in life such as clothing and generally your appearance is futile or fruitless.
It helps give us perspective before we splurge on that new handbag or designer sneakers - are we substituting what is a confidence issue with expenditure and thus sending our lives into a downward spiral and even destroying our relationships with others. We need to have an idea of our role in life and the expectations - a career woman working towards a top business contract, yes, might splurge on a designer pair of sneakers to relief stress rather than impress others - a treat for all that hard work. There are many motives to such moves and we need to understand our social pressures better, as well as our place in society.
Remember the AOF materials that said 'Know your League' - a hard phrase - but many don't misunderstand it. A model needs to be on top of the latest trends to get the next job, mixing up names does him or her no good, meeting people at parties is a staple - but a housewife might need extra towards family needed items so that treat dissappears readily for some but others need these same items as staples so prices will be and often are in reach of both. Try this handy trenduly quality nail polish but is it just a treat or do you really need to ditch that haggard housewife look - buy quality then. The same items belong to both places once you understand what is going on a deeper level. Confidence is key to both to keep going positively in their lives.
What do we need in our lives depends on our place or role? Things will conflict and can lead to financial disaster. Disaster after disaster - things creep into the online cart to build not just our appearance but just as matter of improving our confidence- the 'I can afford that too' concept is curbed by 'Know your place/Know your League' measures.
Leave your credit card behind on a grocery trip in a bigger mall, is it really you who needs to showstop as they say?
Please enjoy the study over the rest of the month.
